WE ARE
A FRIENDLY CHURCH
Greeters meet worshippers as they arrive and reflect the friendly, welcoming spirit that prevails at Lihue Christian Church. After the service, visitors are invited to Aloha Hour - - to linger for fellowship, refreshments and conversation. The sanctuary is equipped with a hearing assistance system and is handicapped accessible.
A CARING CHURCH
We have an active Welcoming Church Team, a Hospitality Team and a Visitation Ministry whose members keep in touch with Church members to provide encouragement, support, and inspiration. Pastoral counseling is provided by appointment with the Minister.
A CHURCH IN COMMUNITY
Lihue Christian Church is committed community partner, whose members provide volunteer and financial support for local food banks, The Kauai Association of the United Church of Christ, and other service organizations. The Church conducts special offerings for Worldwide Missions, including One Great Hour of Sharing and Neighbors in Need. The church sponsors ʻAe KamaliʻI Preschool, licensed by the State of Hawaii and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, and serves as a site for Ohana Pacific Health's Kauai Adult Day Health Center.
A CHURCH THAT NEEDS MEMBER SUPPORT
Lihue Christian Church needs member support to maintain our ministries and to carry on our mission to do God's work in our community. Members show their support by attending church services and by participating on the various Boards and Ministry Teams. Another type of support is financial and is reflected in the generosity of their stewardship pledges that enable us to sustain and grow our ministries.
A CHURCH THAT PROVIDES SPIRITUAL GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES
Lihue Christian Church offers prayer support groups and biblical seminars at various times of the week for the convenience of people's schedules, open to members as well as non-members. Small Group Ministry is one of our newest and most enthusiastic programs.
